Seventy-five years after the partition of India, an Indian family arrived at Chakwal to visit their native town of Vahali.

After seeing the native land for the first time, there were emotional scenes among the guests. The guests have also sent a message of goodwill to the residents of their native area and to the whole of Pakistan. The town of Chakwal was called Vahali State before the partition of India. Some of the richest families in India lived in this town. A prominent family among these families was that of Sardar Hari Singh, who had left his native place and settled in the Indian city of Shimla during the turmoil of the partition of India. Seventy-five years later, Sardar Mokshinder Singh, grandson of Sardar Hari Singh and son of Sardar Darshan Singh, reached Wahali to visit his ancestral town. This family, who emigrated from Wahali, now resides in America, but mentions the Wahali Estate in their introduction. Sardar Mokshinder Singh was accompanied by his son Dalbir Singh and his wife Renu Kaur. The people of the area welcomed the new generation of the old residents of their village by throwing bhangra to the beat of the drum. Sardar Mokshinder Singh also went to his grandfather's old house where the school is now established. Old documents and memorable photos were also shown to the guests on this occasion. The group of six Indian guests wandered through the village streets to see the old houses here and then were treated to traditional cuisine from across Punjab. He thanked his hosts for the warm welcome received by the guests and sent a message of love to the people of Pakistan.
